To be profitable at football betting is actually very simple – you need to obtain odds higher than the chance of the outcome happening.  For example, if you calculate that Man U have a 50% (2.0) chance of winning at home to Leicester, you need to obtain odds higher than this i.e. greater than 2.0.  This is the concept of betting with value.

By obtaining value when betting in as many bets as possible, in the long run you will be profitable.  Obviously, in the short-term there can be swings due to variance.
